Although the groundbreaking Roe v Wade decision made abortion legal in the US in 1973, since that time, there has been a steady eroding of reproductive choice and rights. Although this poster was made in the 1980s, its words and demands are more true than ever in 2022 as the Supreme Court has taken away the federal right to abortion. This has resulted in 26 state legislatures declaring that abortion even in the case of rape and incest is tantamount to murder. Then, as now, bodily autonomy is key to gaining equal rights under the law and in society as a whole.
